Race manual

The Winterman race is part of the International Triathlon Series XTRI SERIES .

Rules

  • You are racing in full traffic and it is absolutely necessary to know and follow the traffic rules!

  • The racer has no advantages or concessions in road traffic.

  • All obstacles and road traffic are part of the race.

  • The organizer does not guarantee smooth passage.

  • Support is not authorized to stop cars.

  • Driving through traffic lights and railway crossings on red, with signaling devices activated or barriers lowered will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Parking of support cars is only possible with all four wheels off the road behind the white side line!
    Parking violations are punishable by 5 minutes, repeated violations are disqualification!

  • The bike route has 2 NO SUPPORT ZONES - parking, support and stopping are prohibited! Parking violations are subject to a 5-minute penalty, repeated violations are disqualification!

    • 1. NoSupport zone 14-30km, starts at the end of Hřensko, ends in Jetřichovice.

    • 2. NoSupport zone 67-82km, starts behind the village of Studený at the top of a long climb, ends in Krásný Buk.

  • The minimum distance for drafting is 15 meters.

  • In the running part, the competitor may be accompanied by a bicycle companion or a runner.

  • The escort can never be in front of the competitor.

  • There can be a maximum of two runners, only one cyclist.

  • The accompanying runner must run on the left side of the road.

  • Bicycle escorts may only ride on the right side of the road at a distance so as not to narrow the passage or block traffic.

  • Bicycle escort is only possible up to 32km!

  • Only official support (wearing a T-shirt) can serve refreshments and any service, not non-support escorts!

What will you receive when you register?

  • Reflective braces for cycling and running

  • Red flashing armband for cycling and running, designed for use on the arm or leg

  • WM racing belt with GPS pocket and race number holders

  • Yellow support t-shirt

  • Starting bag with stickers and starting number

  • A plastic bag for belongings from the bus at the start - the organizer will deliver the bag to T1

What will you receive in the morning at T1 at BIKE CHECK IN?

  • Waterproof case with whistle

  • GPS

  • 1 white flashing light – put it in your swimming cap before starting

  • 1 red swimming flasher – will be placed in a waterproof case together with the GPS

  • The day after the race at Malevil – we exchange the whistle case, number strap and reflective suspenders for finisher gear

  • The day after the race at Malevil - we will exchange the support t-shirt for the original "support finisher" t-shirt, only WM finishers will receive a medal, WM finisher t-shirt and WM finisher gift.

What do you receive after completing a race in the limit?

  • WM finisher T-SHIRT
